Menswear SS17

I always look at websites like WGSN sceptically because really, it isn't prediction, they just know. Right? Anyway, I do love scrolling through the trend reports to see what is going to be in and what rumblings are around at the moment that will turn into it.

Menswear is taking a more 80's turn next (next) season. Influence comes from 80's Japanese biker gangs to sportswear to Eastern Europe. Gosha Rubchinskiy's SS16 collection is a big clue to the kind of shrink fit sportswear and European style. Slightly higher waists and straight fit trousers make a total breathe of fresh air from skinny jeans which too many boys are wearing (read more about the death of skinny jeans here).

Blues, Greens and Greys rule the colour palette with accents of red making for a cool and collected vibe off set by sports stripes and branded logos. As I've said before I find men's silhouettes and attitudes more inspiring than women's.
