Colour Story

 As an introduction to colour, our first group task on FCP was all about a colour story. We picked Grey in the Neutrals category. It showed how good a tool Pinterest is as to begin we didn't really know where to start. By looking at what was trending on our own Pin Boards, we came to a colour story called Grey Worlds. You can see the Pinterest board here. The vision was all about natural textures, so fur, marble, slate, wool, and how it is used in the modern world. Above is a little concept moodboard to start with. Also good for practising the old photoshop skills. 

After gathering a few materials and having a play to see how  materials like leather behave. Our final image above is a product of trial and error, who knew it would turn out like this. We were very happy as it included all the textural quality we first thought of but links well into the outdoorsy trend of the moment in a more contemporary way. It communicates our story of "grey worlds"- a collision of natural materials and everyday life.
